About Jessica:

My journey as a therapist really started back when I was a teenager in the mountains of Ecuador, South America. I was traveling for the summer and experienced a different culture, different level of poverty, and different language but the same humanity and my passion for people started to grow.

This journey has taken me on many adventures and led me to many places. Originally from Madison, WI, I moved to New York City after my undergraduate degree and worked in a homeless shelter and then decided to obtain my Masters in Clinical Social Work from New York's Columbia University. I moved to Raleigh, NC in 2006 and I have worked with a variety of different people including: children, adolescents, adults, families, and groups.

With 10 year of experience in the Mental Health field my approach to counseling is client-centered, mindful and compassion based. I utilize various therapeutic methods including, but not limited to: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical (DBT), and Family Systems.
